The book weaves a tale aimed at helping young people explore the joy and complexity of families and their idiosyncratic dynamics.

Conceived as a simple story with clear, brightly coloured illustrations, perfect for children aged 4 to 8, it also contains powerful lessons for grown-ups on navigating family relationships and finding joy in the everyday moments.

Drawn using watercolour, coloured pencil and pastel, the pictures will resonate with all children who love to draw. Search lines and erasures can be found, and watercolour washes sometimes spill over or don’t reach their prescribed boundaries. By doing so, I hope to give confidence to the curious child to learn from and celebrate their experiments in art.
